PROVIDING SUPPORT TO THE "THE MOST PRECIOUS OF THE CARGOES" FILM

Our foundation supported the promotion of “The Most Precious of Cargoes” by Academy Award-winning director Michel Hazanavicius. The film was presented at a special screening at the “Zhovten” cinema in collaboration with Arthouse Traffic and the Embassy of France in Ukraine. Set during World War II, the story unfolds in a snowy forest near the railway tracks of the death trains. A woman discovers a baby — a Jewish girl — and decides to shelter her despite fear, danger, and her husband’s objections. This act of humanity transforms their lives. The film is a story of solidarity, of the cost of compassion, and of the light that can endure even in the darkest times. “The Most Precious of Cargoes” is also one of the few animated films ever to compete in the main selection of the Cannes Film Festival.
